Testimonials

“When I began attending Cath’s classes just over 12 months ago, I noticed that the quality of my yoga practice changed; it became more mindful and focused. I felt I was becoming stronger and more flexible physically.  I also noticed that I was willing to challenge myself thanks to Cath’s ability to make you feel safe in her classes, like you belong and feel understood.  She creates a relaxed and enjoyable environment in which to learn.

Her classes are of great variety which includes 6-8 week yoga courses based around the seasonal changes throughout the year, and what also comes highly recommended is her “restorative evening class”, a perfect 'antidote' for relaxing & releasing stress. She provides all equipment - mats, bolsters, blocks, straps & blankets for all her sessions.

Cath maintains a non-competitive & nurturing atmosphere in her classes, she is a generous and open person who ensures you not only benefit from the physical practise of yoga but the mental & spiritual benefits as well.

I feel lucky to have found such a talented and compassionate teacher”.

"I haven’t been doing yoga long, so the truth be told I had some misconceptions about men practicing yoga, until I was introduced to Cath’s classes. Since starting yoga, I have improved my flexibility reducing my aches & pains from my work as a Scaffolder. This has also helped with loosening my lower back and hamstrings.

We are encouraged to use the props provided for us (blocks, straps, bolsters etc.,) to help us practice the pose in the most comfortable and beneficial way. The props allow everybody to benefit from the poses.

Cath is an excellent teacher giving just the right balance of challenging repetition, with clear instructions & explanations on how particular asanas improve your health. From my point of view, Cath has a ego-less, sensitive approach to her male students and a natural ability to adapt the yoga asanas to your needs.

I leave feeling relaxed and all my aches & pains are gone. I look forward to her classes and wished I had practice yoga earlier."

"I met Cath Slomka 18 months ago through Primal Health and Fitness and since our meeting she has taught me strength of body and mind.  She is an exceptional yoga instructor who creates a warm, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere in which to learn.  Cath skilfully tailors her classes to encompass a range of abilities and her breadth of knowledge allows her to make each and every class dynamic and interesting.  Being a mindfulness instructor also allows her to incorporate a variety of beneficial aspects into her classes such as breath work, visualisation and staying present in the moment.  Cath’s openness and kindness as well as her caring nature make her approachable and her sense of humour means that you also have fun along your learning journey.  Her classes have helped both my physical and mental health; I have progressed so much under her instruction and I cannot recommend her classes highly enough!"
